Swaraj Tractors Receives CSR Award for 'Project Pani' from Rajasthan Govt

September 6, 2024, Udaipur: Swaraj Tractors has made a significant social impact in Rajasthan with their ‘Project Pani’. This major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has greatly helped in easing the state's water crisis.
Recently, at a distinguished event in Udaipur, Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, recognized Dr Arun Raghav, Head of HR, ER, Admin & CSR at M&M Ltd., Swaraj Division, for implementing Project Pani in over 50 schools across Rajasthan.

‘Project Pani’ aims to install roof rainwater harvesting tanks in government schools. It is one of the many initiatives driven by Swaraj toward sustainable development with community support.
With a strong presence across Rajasthan, comprising more than 125 dealers and over 100 shops selling a large range of products, Swaraj is getting into consolidating its market position while looking after critical aspects beyond agriculture with its ‘Project Pani’.

‘Project Pani’ Creating Impact in Rajasthan:

Since the programme's inception, ‘Project Pani’ has impacted 54 government schools in eight districts, directly benefiting more than 18,000 students. This has helped address the problem of fluoride and salinity in groundwater by offering safe, fluoride-free drinking water through rainwater harvesting. This initiative has not only improved student health and attendance but has also saved over INR 12.8 lakhs annually on water transportation costs.

Swaraj's Ongoing CSR Initiatives:

Since 2020, Swaraj has also been working to combat groundwater depletion in Punjab and Rajasthan by rehabilitating traditional water ponds in underprivileged areas. The goal is to conserve 40 lakh cubic meters of water annually to support both irrigation and drinking water needs.
